UIC Government Services segment Bowhead Total Enterprise Solutions has secured a $249-million contract to support the US Army Corps of Engineers’ information and technology systems.
Under the agreement, the firm will deliver technical and administrative services required by the command’s High-Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP).
The five-year contract will be carried out at various US Department of Defense offices and centers.
Work will focus on computer capabilities, facilities, telecommunications platforms, program management, engineering, and logistics.
“The effort that went into pursuing this contract, as well as our exceptional track record of providing highly technical and advanced information technology services to the federal government, is a testament to Bowhead’s ability to perform at the highest levels in the federal contracting arena,” Bowhead Companies and UIC Government Services Senior Vice President Michael Hundley stated.
‘Solving Critical Defense Challenges’
For over two decades, the HPCMP has leveraged expertise in computing and networking to develop systems and information technology solutions for the US Department of Defense.
The resulting systems from HPCMP are used for solving complex challenges encountered by US defense scientists and engineers.
“We have the right people and resources in place to begin our work and provide HPCMP with the highly advanced services they need to be successful in solving some of our nation’s critical defense challenges,” Bowhead Systems and Information Technology Vice President Cary Randolph said.
