The US Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) has awarded Virginia-based technology firm Peraton a $2.25-billion contract to deliver background investigation services.

Under the agreement, the company will work on nationwide background fieldwork determinations for government contract personnel assignments, government employment, and US military service.

The data will also be used for trusted access clearances associated with classified information and government facilities.

Work for the program will run until December 2027.

“As the incumbent for this contract and bringing over 19 years of experience as the leading industry provider, Peraton is proud to continue our relationship with the largest cleared network of nationwide background investigator services,” Peraton CEO Stu Shea stated.
