AM General has unveiled a Humvee concept equipped with loitering munitions and a counter-drone system.
The auto manufacturer developed the Humvee Saber Blade edition in collaboration with drone manufacturer AeroVironment and remote weapon station maker Hornet Defense.
The Humvee variant features multiple launchers capable of holding 10 armor-capable Switchblade 600 loitering munitions and 14 smaller Switchblade 300s at the back of the vehicle.
Furthermore, the vehicle contains a Hornet Air Guard Remote Controlled Weapon System turret with a counter-drone solution on top.

Equipped With Automatic Grenade Launcher
The Hornet system’s “drone detection ring” comprises electro-optical and infrared cameras, radar, and a 40mm Heckler & Koch GMG automatic grenade launcher with air-bursting ammunition to strike unmanned aerial platforms.
“With the Humvee Saber Blade Edition, we continue to push the boundaries of lethality and protection on the battlefield, and we’re proud of the collective effort we fostered with AeroVironment and Hornet to bring this concept to life,” AM General Executive Vice President John Chadbourne remarked.
