Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa segments PGZ Stocznia Wojenna and PIT-RADWAR have signed a contract to provide naval armament systems for the Polish Navy.

The agreement comes to 100 million Polish złoty ($21 million) and is expected to be completed by 2026.

The order includes three OSU-35K weapon systems that will be integrated into the navy’s Kormoran II-class mine countermeasure vessels.

The OSU-35K Weapon System

The OSU-35K is a remotely controlled gun with an AM-35K 35-millimeter automatic cannon that can engage targets 5.5 kilometers (4.4 miles) away at an altitude of 3.5 kilometers (2.2 miles).

The AM-35K has a firing rate of 550 rounds per minute.

The OSU-35K can be configured with FAPDS-T sub-caliber ammunition for larger targets and ABM programmable ammunition for smaller threats.

It uses an independent target tracking system that enables forces to detect and engage airborne vehicles, missiles, and drones.

The OSU-35K can also target light armor vehicles and unarmored ground units.

The weapon system consists of a ZGS-35K infrared laser warhead for observation and tracking, a BSKO-35K fire control system block, and an RSKO-35K backup fire control station.

Several of the OSU-35K’s components were made with carbon fiber technology.
