Azerbaijan Demonstrates Indigenous Machine Gun at ADEX 2022

Azerbaijan demonstated some of its high-powered weapons and equipment during the Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition (ADEX-2022) at the Baku Expo Center.

One of the weapons was a new 12.7-millimeter machine gun capable of firing short and long bursts at up to 3,000 meters (9,842 feet).

The large-caliber gun is designed to disrupt enemy formations and destroy light fortifications.

The nation also demonstrated its GFAB-250 LG 250-kilogram (550 pounds) high-precision fragmentation air bomb.

The bomb can destroy military installations, equipment, vehicles, airfields, aircraft, and other key assets.

Additional Weapons

The ADEX-2022 served as an opportunity for Azerbaijan’s armed forces to showcase some of its cutting-edge cannons and rifles.

Attendees caught a glimpse of the 30-millimeter automatic cannon designed to engage light armored vehicles and anti-tank missile systems up to 1,500 meters (4,921 feet) away.

The cannon can also neutralize aerial targets at an altitude of up to 2,000 meters (6,561 feet).

Azerbaijan also displayed its Yırtıcı (Predator) semi-automatic sniper rifle that can neutralize targets at 1,000 meters (3,280 feet).
