The Belgian Navy has renewed the license of software company SeeByte to continue providing solutions for autonomous underwater vehicles (UAVs).
The contract involves the provision of the company’s most recent version of multi-domain control system called the SeeTrack v4 and the Automatic Target Recognition system.
SeeTrack v4 and Automatic Target Recognition
SeeTrack v4 is a multi-domain control system that helps operators accomplish rapid on-site analysis. It is installed in vast uncrewed systems for real-time data gathering, previous events calculation, and report generation during security missions in the air, ports, and harbors.
SeeTrack v4’s open architecture is “easily adapted to meet specific operational needs, as demonstrated through its use by over 20 navies worldwide,” and is already part of security operations and scientific experiments internationally, according to the firm.
The Automatic Target Recognition is an assisting tool used for post-mission analysis to provide operators with precise information about mines and similar objects. It is powered by a machine learning algorithm that generates quick results by analyzing terrain complexities, new target types, and mission reviews.
Support and Training
The contract includes operational support and training in SeeTrack v4 capabilities for Belgian Navy students and in-service operators.
The deal will maintain operational control and situational awareness programs, including mine countermeasure missions that utilize the software to read data from advanced sensors that assist uncrewed marine unit operators.
Both systems are also commonly used at EGUERMIN, the Belgian-Netherlands Naval mine warfare school.
