Ukrainian Armor to Market UAE Unmanned Ground Vehicle
UAE-based autonomous technologies company Milanion Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ukrainian Armor, authorizing it to market and distribute Milanion’s AGEMA Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) 8×8.
The MoU comes following the end of a previous three-year dealership contract between the two companies.
Vladislav Belbas, Director General at Ukrainian Armor, called the AGEMA dealership agreement an “additional opportunity for business development.”
Belbas added that the dealership rights would allow the company to “offer the Ukrainian army world-class defense equipment, especially since the AGEMA had already caught the interest of Ukrainian security agencies.”
Milanion CEO Davinder Dogra said that Ukraine represents an important market, and they believe that Ukraine Armor has the capability “to create and service any demand for the vehicle and respond quickly to changing market conditions,” allowing Milanion to “deliver tailored solutions to local preferences.”
The AGEMA
The AGEMA 8×8 UGV is described by Milanion as a fully amphibious vehicle possessing “complete versatility, agility, and control even in the most extreme and hostile situations.”
The AGEMA is built to traverse most terrain under extreme weather conditions. It can be teleoperated or run autonomously via pre-planned routes and configured with various wheels depending on specific needs.
The UGV is powered by a Briggs and Stratton Vanguard Marine 40hp EFI engine and can be fitted with multiple payloads and accessories.
It can be used for ISR support, fire support, drone and anti-drone support, route clearance, as well as to transport supplies.
