Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace and Finland’s Patria finalized an agreement to boost long-term cooperation on Missile Systems, including the creation of a technology and development center.
The Missile Competence Center will be located in Finland, and focus on advanced missile system technology for the Finnish Defence Forces and industrial missile development for Kongsberg, Patria said in a Monday press release.
Kongsberg owns a 49.9 percent stake in Patria after procuring the shares in March 2016. The majority stake in Patria is held by the Finnish government, while Norway controls the majority of Kongsberg.
The two companies previously worked together to deliver Norwegian Advanced Surface to Air Missile System air defence and remote weapons stations.
